THE NAVIGATOR — New documentary music theater | 2026–27

A new documentary music theater production by Leili Yahr / Cie Kaleidos exploring memory, war, aviation and moral responsibility through the story of her grandfather, a navigator in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

Conceived for actor, cello, electronics, video and a projected female choir, the piece unfolds between the cockpit of a B-17 bomber and an intimate Texas living room from the 1980s.

My music approaches the radio as a poetic and dramaturgical object: military communications, fragmented archives, modular synthesis, distorted songs and immersive spatialization slowly giving rise to a more fragile and human voice.
